I was kind of fired from my old work. I used to work for a chinesse restaurant very famous in Hull called Mr Chu. The new year's eve was my last day there. Since then, they haven't called me and my name is not even in the rota. Well, today I went to see what happens but... that's another story.
The thing is that I still looking for job because... you know... is the best way of getting money. I found an offert in the jobcenter plus of a cattering assistant job in a nursery home, bringing food to old people and that kind of things. I called them and they told me to go there and get an aplication form. Alright I said. Where is it?
The woman asked me where I'm living and told me a lot of things I didn't understand because is really difficult speaking by telephone in your non first language.
I know she spoke about schools and, I'm pretty sure she mentioned a round about. Anyway, I asked her the street and I just searched it in the map. It looked to be far but not too much. Things are not always what they look.
-We close at 5 -she told me-.
It was 2.30 in the afternoon when I left home with my big headphones on my ears. I was walking for a long time and on very scaring places.
It was getting dark and even with the map, I was totally lost. So I decided to ask. I saw a man and without thinking twice I show him my paper with the offert, and the name of the place.
-Excuse me, do you know where this road is?
Alright, I know I'm not english and I don't understand people very well but... for god's shake that man spoke like if he had something very very big inside the mouth, and he suttered.
Well, It's not fair insulting him because he was very polite with me and he told me the way. We even shared the way for a while and he told me a story. Of course I didn't understood a potato but I smiled very well.
Now it was totally dark. I didn't want to look at the clock because I didn't want to know if it was very late. Very smart. After 20 minutes more walking and a few more asks I arrived to the place. It was a big enclosure and the reception was at the end of a road. I arrived to the reception. And then I remembered something the woman said about a clock in a whall. I looked at It
-5.10 -it said-.
FUCK!!!
Almost 3 hours walking for this???
I was so upset that I broke the paper with the offert (wich doesn't means anything because I already new the adress but... when you are looking for job, breaking the paper is like forgeting about it)
Luckily there was a bus stop close to the nursery home, and more luckily, the bus came at the moment, and even more luckily, it went to the town so... lucky me!!
When I got home, P told me that it was a good job and I sould try to go the day after and get the aplication form, because old people don't use slang and it is easyer to understand.
She Is right. I went today (by bus, because there are buses) and now I have the AF. I have to fill it and take it back. Not tomorrow...
Maybe next monday

So, what about Mr. Chu? Isn't he a little ashamed. That's not a polite way to fire somebody.
